This is a concrete overlay project for Joe and Dina of Ridgefield CT.
The patio was prepared by grinding the floor to remove all of the old carpet adhesive. After preparation we coated the floor with Elite Crete Thinset material in a light Desert Beige color.
A tile pattern was then taped onto the floor and another coat of colored Thinset was applied. We then applied a thicker coat in a trowel down technique to provide a random hand rowelled surface finish. The tape was removed and we colored the floor with Elite Crete Ultrastone stain using Desert Beige, Chocolate and Charcoal colors.
Once completely dry we then sealed the floor with 2 coats of CSS exterior concrete sealer.
This was a fun project and Joe and Dina were great to work with.
