Ned of Fairfield, CT asked us to install an epoxy floor in his two car garage. The floor had several large cracks and some serious pitting.
The started by grinding the floor with out Werkmaster Titan grinder. The cracks were chased out and filled with Elite Crete Crack Fill Epoxy. We opted to coat the floor with Elite Crete water based epoxy barrier coat and then fill the voids and pits with a rapid set epoxy mixed with filler.
The following day we coated the floor with Elite Crete PT-4 Tan Fast Set Epoxy. While wet we broadcast 1/4″ flakes to rejection. After 4 hours we were able to remove the excess flakes, lightly sand the floor and coat with Elite Crete PT-1 clear epoxy.
The result was great. No sign of the cracks or pits and a very smooth floor.
