Thats exactly what Ed of New Canaan did in early April. After a brief conversation a meeting was set up to inspect the floor and review all of the options. Ed decided to coat the floor with a dark gray 1/4″ color flake covered with a crystal clear epoxy topcoat.
The installation took only two days. The two man crew arrived in the morning to repair some cracks, grind the floor and paint the side sills. They then coated the floor garage and workshop floors with grey epoxy and broadcast the grey flakes all over the floor until it was completely covered. ‘It looked a little like a moonscape’ commented Ed.
The following morning the excess flakes were removed and the floor was lightly sanded. The epoxy topcoat was added and the job was finished by lunchtime.
