One of our favorite partners is CarLiftsPlus.com. They specialize in transforming your garage space by installing hydraulic car lifts, storage units, doors and associated items. The company owner, RJ asked if we would install an epoxy flake floor for one of his clients in Garden City NJ.
We completed the project on a wet day in November. Not ideal but with the aid of plastic screening and some torpedo heaters we ground the floor, applied a colored epoxy coating and broadcast some chocolate blended flakes. Later that afternoon we sanded the floor and applied an Elite Crete Polyaspartic top coat. We love this combination. The top coating is thinner than epoxy leaving a rough non slip surface. It is also harder wearing than epoxy, does not yellow or break down in sunlight and it is dry within a few hours.
A few days later RJ and his crew installed the new lift.
